UN Women inviting Applications from CSOs in Serbia

UN Women Office in Serbia is inviting civil society organizations (CSOs) registered in Serbia, that have gender equality, women’s rights and/or antidiscrimination set as one of the organization’s goals in Statute and have specialized knowledge, expertise and track record of working on gender equality and/or gender-based violence to submit project proposals.


This Call for Proposals is launched to Support to Local Initiatives to Prevent and Improve Response to VAWG in Public Spaces under the UK funded project “Safety of women and girls in public spaces”.

Objectives


Under this Call for Proposals, women’s CSOs (WCSOs) will be supported in order to contribute to the following specific objective: Enhancement of safety of women and girls in public spaces by advancing knowledge of WCSOs to implement WSATs in their local cities/municipalities and by increasing their capacity towards evidence-based and innovative practice in responding to VAGW in public domain.


Funding Information
  • The budget range for this proposal should be 14.000 USD – 15.000 USD

  • The proposals are expected to cover a period from September 2022– August 2023, and their duration should range from a minimum of 9 months to a maximum of 11 months.

Competencies
  • Technical/functional competencies required

    • Proven experience in promoting gender equality, combating domestic and gender-based violence or antidiscrimination.

    • Proven experience in management of projects related to gender equality and/or combating domestic and genderbased violence.

    • Language: Serbian. Knowledge of English.


  • Other competencies, which while not required, can be an asset for the performance of services

    • Knowledge of rules and regulation on urban planning and/or citizen participation.

    • Experience in field of gender sensitive public safety of women and girls.

    • Knowledge on Serbian legal and institutional framework related to gender equality.

    • Previous experience working with United Nations.
